Andorra is often thought of as the poor cousin of the Alps, but that is not actually the case any more. The Principality is almost entirely focused on winter sports and major investment in infrastructure, new lifts and mountain eateries.
Linked pistes: Andorra's main resorts are co-joined. The Grandvalira area is comprised of Pas de la Casa, El Tarter and Soldeu, whilst Arinsal, Pal and La Massana make up the Vallnord section. With a whopping 303 km of piste amongst them.

Arinsal
Nice easy slopes with good ski schools. The pistes are wide, forgiving and not lined with trees making them perfect to learn on. A range of decent hotels and nice bars finish off the introduction to skiing.
Best for Intermediates
Soldeu
Bucket loads of red and blue runs for intermediate skiers to explore. Challenging enough to bolster confidence and build ski legs, but not enough of a challenge to expert skiers.

A party town literally built for one thing only: Apres ski! For those who like to hit the night as hard as they hit the slopes. Popular haunts include the Underground and Paddy's Irish Bar

La Massana
A family focused resort without the heavy Andoran apres ski found in most resorts. With lots of family friendly hotels and gentle blues comprising a nursery run section for beginners and young ones.
Best Ski Resort in Andorra
Catalan culture folded into your skiing holiday is a rarity and can only be found in Andorra. It's certainly not the Alps, but that in itself isn't a bad thing. If you are looking for something a bit different this season you could do a lot worse than consider Andorra.
